2016 – 222.1 avg
2017 – 208.2 avg
2018 – 205.1 avg
2019 – 209.2 avg

2021 – 204.5 avg
2022 – 201.5 avg
2023 – 202.1 avg
2024 – 187.7 avg

Some things are worth celebrating!

For 2025, I’ve decided to track my weight loss progress by measuring my waist circumference. My aim is to increase muscle mass and reduce fat, specifically around my midsection.

Average sleep time for 2024

Sleep

Sleep has always been a weak point, and my long-term goal is 7 hours.

In 2023, I hit my goal 120 times, and in 2024, 119 times.. Not too good.

Readings for awake time are significantly lower than those of others in my demographic.

Breathing Rate for 2024

Breathing Rate

2022 – 14 brpm (breathing rate per minute)
2023 – 14 brpm
2024 -14 brpm
2025 – 15 brpm ( Maybe caused by too many Lattes?)

Long-term goal 12 brpm.

With some breathing meditation, this is very possible.

Heart Rate Variability for 2024

Heart Rate Variability

2022 – 15ms
2023 – 15ms
2024 – 15ms

Again, with some breathing meditation, I would like to get this number up to 19.

Resting heart rate for 2024

Resting Heart Rate

2020 – 62 bpm
2021 – 63 bmp
2022 – 62 bmp
2023 – 62 bmp
2024 – 59 bmp

The long-term goal is 45 bpm, and I would be very happy with mid-50s for this or next year.

This year’s personal fitness challenge for 2025 will be putting attention on activities like increasing steps, going to bed earlier, practicing breathing meditation, playing pickleball regularly, and having smaller meals will be part of this year’s focus.

2018 New Year Resolutions

Health and Weight Loss Goals

  • By the end of the year be under 200 pounds.
  • Strengthen my health through diet & exercise.
  • Strengthen my body with daily exercise routines to increase balance, agility, and flexibility.

Starting at

My personal challenge weight chart
Weight chart for the last year.

As you can see I’ve been a little lackluster getting close to 200. That seems to be my magic number. Whenever I get close to 200 I lose my mojo.

My weight started at 207.2 pounds and with the Holiday season just around the corner, this will be a good time to test my will power at the table, on the mat, and at all the Holiday parties.

The last thing I want is to be at a party on the sidelines or in the corner because of food or alcohol restrictions, but there is no reason to overindulge. Hey, I like a beer or glass of wine now and again.

Actions To Take

  1. I’ll be reading and implementing 21-Day Total Body Transformation
  2. Start by changing my eating habits: Only eating 2 meals a day: Only eating for a half-hour in the morning and 4 hours later for a half-hour.

I\’m sure I’ll be adding to this list and keep you posted on my progress so please come back later and see how I\’m doing and any words of encouragement would be great.

Are you going to challenge yourself this season?

About Jack

OK, I am a bit of a health nut with no degrees in the health industry. I spend way too much time sitting and looking at a computer screen so any time outside is precious and my diet style is optimized for that.
