Cardio Fitness

Cardio Fitness for July 2021

My score for July 2021 is 42 to 46 which is rated as excellent for men my age.

Resting Heart Rate

Resting Heart Rate for July 2021

Started a new meditation practice that controls the breath, may be this is why it’s higher.

I have been trying to get my resting heart rate under 60. This would mean I would need to be much more athletic.

According to the American Heart Association the average resting heart rate for someone my age should be between 75 and 130 and have an average maximum heart rate between 150 and 155 (see chart below). So I think I’m doing pretty good.

Sleep Charts

Sleep Time Chart

Sleep Time chart July 2021

May be one of my worst sleep time charts. Only 8 nights with over 7 hours of sleep.

Sleep Stage Comparisons

Sleep stages comparing 30 average to Benchmark

This chart compares my 4 main sleep stages for 30 my 30 day average to other men in my age range.

Weight Chart

Weight chart for 3 month\

For the last 3 months weight has been as high as 209 and currently 206.

I’m 20 pounds from my goal of 186 and heading in the right direction at a pretty solid pace.

According to The BMI, I\’m right in the middle of Overweight with a BMI of 27.

I\’m sure I can pick up the pace and drop 5 pounds in any given week but I think that will create a seesaw chart and don\’t think that would be healthy.

Step Count

Fitbit Steps July 2021

Chart for number of steps for July 2021 averaged out to 3,708.

This is probably my weakest chart this month. So very easy to correct.

My goal is to beat or outstep yesterday’s average.

Looking forward to seeing how well I stick to this goal and make walking a strong habit.

Wish me luck!

Conclusion

Overall I’m pretty healthy, heart rate recovery is better than good, and sleep could be better.

Even though I am no longer obese, I’m still overweight according to or government\’s BMI chart.

Goals

Just by looking at the charts, it’s easy to see I can simply increase my sleep time by cutting out reading when waking up in the middle of the night.

Also by increasing the step count will help bring down my weight and bring me closer to my goal of 186.

About Jack

OK, I am a bit of a health nut with no degrees in the health industry. I spend way too much time sitting and looking at a computer screen so any time outside is precious and my diet style is optimized for that.
