Fitbit Cardio Fitness Score

The Cardio Fitness chart measures how well you use oxygen and cardiovascular fitness. Other factors taken into account are your weight and heart rate at rest.

What is The Cardio Fitness Score?

The Cardio Fitness Numbers are a combination of a resting heart rate, age, sex, weight, sleep, and how well oxygen is used while working out. Fitbit has a very good explanation on its website and on the phone app.

Even though my weight has gone down so has my cardio fitness score.

I was surprised the numbers did not go up because of the weight loss. The highest score happened when I was moving and exerting a lot of energy so the plan is to add a couple of days of HIIT per week.

The numbers are increasing. Fitbit has recommended to lose weight (I’ve lost 2.6 pounds in September) and the score has gone up by 2 points.

Excellent Nice! Fitbit says my score is related to weight and to bring my score up I should lose weight and be careful not to lose muscle.

Best Cardio Fitness Numbers So Far

These are my best numbers to date. This chart was taken on August 8th, 2018.

Cardio Fitness or Overall Heart Health

This chart gives an overview of your heart rate health.

There’s a good description on the phone or online, in short, I believe it measures how hard your heart works while resting and at peak periods while working out and then determines how efficient the heart works with the rest of your body.

This is why it’s so important to lower or follow your heart at rest.

There’s a slight up tick because I lost 5 pounds. Planning on increasing yoga and Qigong practices.

Observations This has moved up 1 point from 42 – 46 and thought I could move it up higher with more steps or longer walks.

Actions & Goals I’d like to see this get to into the 60s by the end of the year. Now I’m not too sure I can accomplish this by the end of the year.

Observations Surprised to see this so high, since I’ve been working as a web designer I’ve taken little care of my health and so considered my heart health less than average.
